I have a 2013 Lexus GS450 so there's not many options for mounting other than textured leather. This was able to not only stick to the the textured leather, but remain there after months of rigorous use. I like to deliver food as a second job so I have to pull my phone on and off the magnetic mount A LOT. Every time I pick up an order, and every time I deliver and order my phone comes with me, so this thing is constantly being abused, and despite all that, I've rechecked the connection to the textured leather (which, btw, the instructions will tell you NOT to use as a mounting spot) repeatedly and somehow it still holds up. At first I bought one of the cheaper competitors and used the exact same textured leather spot. I had to use both mounts in the box because they both held up for about a week before they started to fall off. Eventually the weight of the phone would cause the adhesive to start peeling away from the textured leather. Now, to be fair, I wasn't supposed to use textured leather as a mounting point, so I imagine if I had smooth plastic, these things would fare better. The adhesive on the Carmounts is able to overcome this limitation. There's something about the adhesive material that's superior to the generic 3M adhesive the cheap knockoffs use. Not only that, but the swivel feel on the Carmount is much more effortless and refined compared to the cheaper mounts. Some additional context: I originally bought a Carmount years ago for my previous car (which sadly got totaled), but throughout its 2 year life, the mount never budged and held up to very strenuous driving and all sorts of extreme weather with the same delivery driver abuse (constantly pulling phone off the mount dozens of times a day). I decided with my new car to cheap out because I figured how hard could it be to properly replicate this product. Turns out, none of the competitors can get it just right. In this market the Carmount certainly feels pretentiously overpriced, until you realize it's priced that way for a reason. It's just a more premium product. I imagine if you have a better interior, you can get away with going cheap, but if you have a challenging situation, definitely opt for Carmount.

I truly wish I would have gotten the black because this white one sticks out like a sore thumb in my car, but that is 100 percent on me for stepping outside of my usual all black everything. Now let’s talk about performance because this thing is no joke. It stays exactly where you put it. I have gone through so many mounts that just would not stay on the dash, the vent, or the windshield. They would fall off, lose suction, or just feel cheap. I finally decided to spend just a little bit more on this one to see if you really do get what you pay for, and you absolutely do. The vacuum suction on this is seriously impressive. Once you lock it in, it is not going anywhere. It holds strong even on rough roads, and I do not have to worry about my phone falling anymore. Installation is super easy too. It takes just a few seconds to set up and you are good to go. The magnetic hold is another huge win. With the 24 strong magnets, you just snap your phone on and it stays put. No clamps, no messing around. It works perfectly with my phone and makes getting in and out of the car quick and easy. Build quality is also way better than most mounts I have tried. It feels solid and well made, not cheap or flimsy at all. The adjustable arm and full 360 degree rotation make it easy to position your phone exactly how you want it, whether that is for navigation, recording, or just everyday use. I also like that it works on multiple surfaces without leaving any residue. You can use it on your dashboard, windshield, or even other places like a desk if you want to. I cannot say enough about the value you are getting for the money and the simple design that finally just works! Overall this is easily the best mount I have had so far. It is strong, easy to use, and actually does what it promises. I highly recommend this to anyone tired of mounts that just do not hold up. Just do yourself a favor and pick the color that matches your setup better than I did.

The Carmount phone mount is perfect for what we needed. I had been on the hunt for a phone mount for my wife’s 2020 RAV4 for months. I tried some name brand and no-name options but her model and trim was tough to find. I was looking for a mount that wouldn’t permanently deform any of the soft dash materials, or obstruct her view. After many many different mounts, I got a 2-pack of these, and my oh my were my problems solved! What I like about it is it’s small footprint. The base that gets mounted is roughly 1.25” L x 0.75” W, meaning it can fit most places. For her car that was the perfect size needed to sit on the plastic frame of her media console. This meant no wedging or hinging under any part of the dash itself. It also puts the view at a comfortable viewing height. The magnet is STRONG. I definitely underestimated it, but once you get the phone nearby it it pulls it in. What’s also nice is the articulating ball joint pivot. It has a decent range of motion that gives you some options of angulation to combat glare and whatnot. Though the range of motion is not incredible, the design had to choose between the overall flushness/closeness to the surface you’re mounted to, or range of motion. I think it’s still plenty for what most people would need. Since I got a 2-pack, I decided to swap out my very heavy duty RAM mount in my Tacoma for this one, and I have not been disappointed. Though the angles and widths of the flat surfaces in my truck don’t offer an abundance of mounting locations, I did find one spot that works. I’ve intentionally driven my truck a bit rougher than necessary and the phone will not fall off. Overall great buy, great price and great mount. Highly recommend!

Carmount brand car mounts are hands down the absolute best on the market! This is my third one (all different models and used in three different cars, I've never had one break or had a single issue with quality). I have a 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback and the dash is designed in such a way that it is very difficult to find a good spot to attach a phone mount. But the design of this one is perfect for cars with a dash style that's similar to mine. I was able to mount the holder to the back of my infotainment unit and then the arm with the magnet swings out and is adjustable in every direction so I'm able to put my phone at an angle where I can easily see maps when I'm driving. The only time I need to use it is when I'm in an unfamiliar area and would like to use maps and this is so much safer than having to look down at a screen for directions. I was able to mount it so the phone is right next to my infotainment screen and can be angled in any direction, I don't have to take my eyes off the road or look down at anything. The other thing I love about Carmount brand mounts is the adhesive they use. They are rock solid and your phone isn't going to move, plus there is zero residue or damage if you need to remove the mount at any point. So many other brands leave a mark or damage once the adhesive is removed, but once you take this off, you'll never know it was there. These are the only brand of phone mounts I'll use since discovering them--they may cost slightly more than other brands, but the quality is fantastic and you aren't going to need to replace it like you do with so many of the cheap versions.

Okay, so I bought the "Carmount" mount to compare with the "Statik" mount (one of the many other Chinese versions). I have a review of the Statik mount also, but there is a huge difference between the 2. The vehicle is a 98 Jeep TJ. Stiff riding and has made phone mounting a wobbly challenge. My phone is a new Samsung S23 Ultra. Heavy phone. The case is a Simply Carbon fiber case. Low profile and slim, but is 2-layers on the back: plastic (which comprises the case part) and the carbon accent inlayed on top of that. I am using a Volport Mount magnet. In the pic. I put in on the outside, as I wanted to be sure that I got a good hold. Will the Carmount supplied magnet hold when it is inside the case? No. It will not. Too weak to get a good hold thru the plastic and carbon. I did try. But I "stuck" with the Volport on the outside. Holy crap is this thing solid! The Carmount magnet is BY FAR the superior magnet!! No wiggle at all. I am going to replace the Statik mount in my other Jeep ASAP with the 2nd Carmount. Would the Carmount steel plate hold as well as the larger Volport? I cannot say for certain. Mounted outside, I think it would do very well. I opted to have a larger plate, larger target area. See pic for plate size comparison. Verdict? I have absolutely no complaints about this setup! Especially the magnet! No wobbling around and vibrating. Very happy, and am buying another pair for the other 2 Jeeps.

I have tried many magsafe mounts for my car, and I have to say this is the best one! I needed one that was very flexible in terms of positioning and this one is amazing for that. You can get it into any angle you want because of the 2 ball joints. An issue with the one I used first was that you couldn't tilt the phone in any angle you want. This one can do all of that. It can pretty much get into any position and distance you want. The possibilities are endless. The magnet strength on this one is comparable to any of the strongest ones out there. The one I had before wasn't as strong. My phone would fall if I accelerate too quickly. This one sticks on and stays on. It actually takes some force to pull the phone off of it. The previous one I had was a wireless charging one as well, but I opted for this one instead because wireless charging is slow and it heated up the phone a lot. The other one also fell off because the double sided tape wasn't strong enough. This one comes with 3M double sided tape. The red kind is stronger than the kind with the white back. This one has a really strong adhesive that I'm used to. I know it'll stay glued to my dash forever. Installing it was very easy. It literally took less than a minute. I cleaned the area with alcohol and then stuck it on. That's it. I definitely would recommend this one to anyone that wants a magsafe car mount. You won't be disappointed!

I have a loopy case which has a decent size finger loopy at the back side of the phone case. I have used carmount branded mounts before and they are great. I had trouble with a previous model due to placement of the magnet and limitations because of the large finger loop. However the phone case is great and not something I was willing to change it "stop the drop" which is their motto, and I really don't drop my phone. This new phone mount works perfectly with the loopy case. I haven't been able to find anything comparable to it. The mount includes to circular magnets that can be attached to a case or the magnet can stick directly to your phone if it's magnetic, mine isn't. I have a samsung galaxy s24. This mount solved all my previous challenges with my last carmount. I can rotate the mount fully so my phone can be vertical or horizontal. The very adjustable mount made it so i could put my phone in other places. It's the perfect mount for someone who is using a loopy case it likely would fit with the pop cases as well. It's truly well designed, has the strong magnet that carmount is known for. It's a great product and I highly recommend it. Its improved my driving quality just because I can place my phone in a better location and out of the direct sunlight. So pleased this exists. Installation took about 5 minutes.

I really like how much holding power these mounts have. I also like that the base is really well designed and matches the interior of my car well, it doesn't stick out or look really out of place. One complaint I have is that I had to put the phone mounting pad on the back of my phone case instead of inside behind the case. I get why, I just don't like it as much but it's more of an aesthetics thing than a function thing. I'm using an apple standard case which isn't really that thick. It's interesting that apple makes the mag safe charger that works and hold through the case but this won't. Not sure what the science is behind that, but I didn't want to go that direction because I have to plug my phone into the USB cord to connect to car play and didn't want 2 cords coming out (and I didn't want to get a bluetooth adapter - never had luck with those). Overall though, this is a great option for SECURLY holding your phone in place while driving and having some optionality to the angle that the phone sits - that's another good thing. You can adjust the phone after it's "connected" to the base and it will stay put, it won't just flop down with the weight. Really happy with this purchase.

Most people’s phones have magnet or MagSafe on the back, which is ideal as nothing further is needed. But if your phone doesn’t have magnet, it comes with a handy little sticker that you can easily attach to the back of your phone and then you’ll be ready to use your new mount. The sticky part of the mount isn’t super sticky meaning it’s not going to leave any marks which is great. But rest assured it will hold the phone securely in place if the suction gets wet, you simply rinse it with warm water and let it dry and it’s as good as new. I’m also using it with my Insta360 Go Ultra for the magnet attachment so we’re good accessory to keep in your bag at all times as it folds down super small.

As a person with hand issues, holding a phone is difficult so I use a Popsocket. I bought the MagSafe PopGrip (popsocket) for my phone and it fits great on my case, but I needed a way to anchor the phone in the car too, and removing the PopGrip was also difficult for me because they simply hold so well. Since I've used Carmount before for my phones, I was so happy finding this halo design here. My previous Carmounts held tight in my Jeep, even off road... So off we go with this new design. Since I needed to mount it vertically, I simply rotated the ring 180 degrees, and although the Carmount base label is upside down - kinda appropriate for a Jeep, lol - it works perfectly! The PopGrip popsocket fits perfect through the hole in the middle and if it doesn't grab tight right away, I have to push the Popsocket in just a bit because it hits the base behind. Once it's on the Carmount, it's been perfect. Future improvements could only be an improvement to having a vertically mounted base and better compatibility with Popsockets. My kids have one in the convertible now too and feel secure with how well it holds.

Ordered this to see if it would work in my car. As with most of these phone holder styles, my options were limited, as the mounting surface must be flat, texture-free (smooth), and able to hang over the edge of whatever it's mounted on without obstructing vents or other essential controls in the vehicle. While this is not a 100% solution for my particular car, it will work. The holder itself is of excellent quality, comes with clearly written directions in understandable English, and seems to be a solid value for the price. I have to order a phone case that will work with attaching the required magnet on the backside, but I believe the magnets that came with this mount will be very sufficient. If you order this (or many other similar) case, be advised that you must have a case that will allow for the magnet to be affixed (mine had a built in stand which will not work). So far so good with this mount.

I was worried it wouldn't stick to my car well, or the magnet wouldn't be very strong. Not the case. My phone feels very secure on it. And it's not hard to get your phone off and on it. I will say, when it's super hot out (I'm in texas), I have to be careful how forceful (aka lazy) I take my phone off it. It feels like the mount moves ever-so-slightly. But if you take it off the correct way, this isn't a problem. I like how small the mount is, it helped so I could find a spot to put it in my car. I've had it for 8 months now, and it's still going strong! Important to note: if you have a wireless charging phone, where you attach (or place inside your phone case) the metal plate to your phone matters. Which then changes where you place your mount. I had to get pretty creative. But the magnet is strong, even with my phone mounted at the bottom, not the middle of my phone, it doesn't come off.

The Carmount F1 has been everything I've been looking for when it comes to cell phone holder. I was hesitant at first due to my phone being so heavy and bulky but this has done great these last few days with no issue. I love the ease of just putting on the magnet and not having to fight with all the extra gadgets other holder come with. This mount also looks sleek and blends in well with your interior. The adhesive is strong a holds great to flat none textured surfaces. The stability once on the Carmount is second to none. I did opt to putting the metal plate directly to the outside of my case to ensure a secure hold to the mount. The only thing I would change with this mount is the limited places you can put it on your interior and the limited angle the mount allows you to go. I believe it's only advertised at 30 degrees. I would have loved for it to go 90 degrees.

This is the best phone mount that I've tried, and I've tried a bunch of 'em. The magnet is very strong, and my Note 10+ doesn't move at all. I like that it collapses into a really compact size when it's not needed, but it is so unobtrusive that I leave it as-is. The adhesive on both the base and the plate to place onto your phone is extremely strong (tip: clean the surface with alcohol, then after placing, press for 30 seconds and then leave it alone overnight.) If properly done, neither one will move. At all. Also, the arm tension can be tightened with the opposing screws at each side. I included a couple of pictures to hopefully illustrate how small it is, and to show the screws that can be adjusted. Note the screw holes left over from a lesser phone mount that broke before the screws could even pull through the plastic dash.

After struggling with the suction cup mounts from other brands, I gave up and tried this mount. Instructions ask for the 3M sticky pad to be placed on a surface and left alone for 24 hours. I followed that to a tee. The wait was worth it: the mount sticks upside down with the sticky pad facing up and the arm pointing down. It sticks just fine and the magnet has a strong hold on to my iphone 16 pro max. The arm is hard to adjust but this adds to how firm it is. For reference, this was done in a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. There is a square opening right below the stereo which is normally a small shelf for keys and coins. I stuck the mount upside down in this opening and it works very well without being obstructive to driver view or blocking the stereo.

Love this mount!! Finally one that stays in place!!! I love the fact that you can cinch it down and tighten it with a twist. It fits perfect on my Ram 2500 which has very limited space on the dash with a smooth surface (I don’t like window attachment). The ease of getting in and just touching my phone to it for a super secure hold is awesome! It doesn’t fall off. It doesn’t slide out of position. It does take two hands and your chin to pull apart and squeeze in only to hit all the side buttons. It doesn’t trap the cord or make it hard to plug the cord in. I have bought the others that do not cinch down, and they all fall off! This does not. I received this as a gift and love it so much that I bought it for other cars.
