I made the mistake of ordering three of these. Yes, they do have a very strong hold as long as it is a flat and smooth surface. Any texture at all and it will not hold, just be aware of that. The manufacturer is obviously aware of that since they include a round smooth base with a sticky side to stick on your dash. The previous photos they had of it sticking to a brick are total B.S.
Pretty good phone mount, I bought one for my truck to test it out and it did stick and stay as long as it has a smooth flat surface to stick it to. But on the dashboard that are uneven or curve it wont stick or stay. But i still like the way it is so i bought another one earlier this morning and received it this afternoon. Only if i saw this ad first i could have one free!
Love this company. I don't have this one, I have the small rectangular one, and it's been great. My only gripe is that now that it's getting hotter, the adhesive is melting a little, and it's not as solid on my dash...the back part of the mount moves a little if I need to readjust. Sad face. But overall, great product.
Unlike a lot of reviewers on Facebook, mine is real. I had tried an earlier model by CARMOUNT that had claws and adhesive that failed miserably. This model is a revelation! Really works well and the magnet for the iPhone is cartoon strong. I tried knocking my phone with my hand and it did not move! Great product!
Someone said, if your car has a frameless door window, don’t handle the door to open and close by the window glass as it could misalign to the car frame and gasket where you’ll get that wind noise from the gap that’s created or water may even seep in over time.
No, you don’t put it phone in front of where you have to look a phone can hide a whole family of people didn’t really want more things obstructing your view while you drive. Why are you gonna put it in the middle of your windshield dude get out of here.
But seriously, does anybody actually need a phone mount? I can’t even imagine having one directly in front of my face when I’m driving. It’s simply not necessary and probably causes lots of accidents and probably fatalities. Let’s be smarter people.
I love my car mounts except when the Georgia summer heat hit, they won’t stick and I’ve waisted two since… they fall on the floor when it gets hot and then the adhesive gets dirty. So, that was a bummer. But I was all about them until summer hit.
Clicked on the add, then tried to find the price listed somewhere but that took too long because they thought it would be more compelling to the customer to sort of hide the price behind a bunch of other stuff. So I left.
Hey car mount! So you have a mount for curvey surfaces ? You know in some cars, the dash board can be curvy ? But I need a phone mount ! How can this be achieved? I have no other room, not even near/on the media console.
With that being said, it's by far my favorite one I've ever used. It's solid. It will not vibrate and blur your screen while driving, moving, bouncing around. It's the best by far I've ever used. Highly recommend it.
Im absolutely disappointed with mine. I know alot of people like theirs, and everyones experience is different, But I have a new one in the box Ill never use and a slightly used one sitting on the shelf in my garage
Yeah, I’m sorry but the last place I’m gonna put any mounting plate is gonna be on the screen. I’m not trying to replace the screen of the head unit. I’m trying to add to it by mounting it any place else but there.
The video shows a round locking device, but the link takes me to a peel-and-stick holder. I found the video item finally, just warning you to look around and not just hit “purchase” or you might get the wrong item.
I got 1 and with in a month it broke. So I didn’t learn from my first mistake and got another because I liked it and welp the picture says it all this is a defective product stop using plastic for critical parts!
Just glass or will tables and such work. I wanna buy a oculus just so I can watch reels on my phone while laying down,
I've gotten bad, meanwhile I feel stupid asking my daughter to not sit too close to the tv
What are the stickers for? Do they make your phone “MagSafe” like and what about the base sticker, if it’s a windshield do you need a sticker for the base or just other odd surfaces you may want to stick it to?
Crazy question. You have to install the magnet on your phone on the outside of your cell phone case . Can you still charge it on a charger you lay your phone on a pad to charge or does the magnet miss it up .
Funny thing is on this video ,which is quick is that everything that it is attached to is glass . So you have it using glass product to attach it to instead of the dashboard or something else besides glass ?
I have one and it works great, but I’m not sure how to get it off the window. I pulled it. I tried to put my fingernail underneath that little tab and any suggestions I just didn’t wanna break anything.
There are 1500 other phone mounts that will stick to perfectly flat, smooth and clean surfaces. The real issue is we need one to adhere to textured, curved, uneven surfaces. THAT will be a game changer.
The dash area of my car is not smooth. Will this suction to it? I wouldn’t mind the windshield but this one doesn’t seem to have a long enough extension to get out of the way of the rear view mirror
Does not work with iPhone 17 pro max and a Pitaka case. This case works great with other car mounts but this car mount on this set up you need To install the ring for it to work correctly
I bought a different brand with the same exact feature but the problem is the magnet itself could not hold the weight of a normal phone, I’m not sure if this is the same with your brand.
