It sticks to the car and the metal plate to your phone (you cannot move it if you want to reposition it, so make sure your decision is final). Since Feb 2025, Car has hit multiple unexpected bumps, once a safety hump that I did not see and in me I panicked thinking I would hear a "thud!" to the floor, but it went steady and sturdy. We love it, and just came back from a long 5 hr drive one-way and unexpected bumps, sudden brakes etc have no impact to this "small gadget". I recommend, definitely.

I've purchased other magnetic mounts & there is always an issue, either the magnet isn't strong enough or the adhesive fails (especially in heat) I'm a multidrop delivery driver, and use a PDA to capture my customers signatures, because I deliver to many building sites the pda is in a very heavy duty protective case, I hadn't found a magnetic mount strong enough to hold my PDA, until I found Carmounts. I saw their promotional video on social media & was impressed so I gave it a go. I'm so glad that I did. The mount is made of metal, that pivots in any direction, the magnet is exceptionally strong, my PDA doesn't move no matter what the terrain is (as I stated earlier, I visit many building sites & with the driving surfaces leaving much to be desired) The adhesive strip holding the mount to your desired surface is super strong. I'm extremely grateful that I see the video. If you need a magnetic mount then I would look no further than Carmount's magnetic mount. Its fantastic 10/10, 5*, 100% effective. I bought the minimal dashboard mount: with their metal plate stuck on iPhone 11 Pro Max it was an absolute pleasure to be able to see/ adjust position of my phone. Changed phone & bought an android car unit.. removed the mount (which is easy, and left no mark). Down the line, bought a Carpuride plugin car accessory for Apple CarPlay. Which is great, except that their mounts do not suit my car in any way…. Email conversation with Carmount revealed the weight that their magnets can hold: two of the minimal magnetic wall mounts fitted on my dash above the original audio screen, meaning I can plop the Carpuride display on (and easily take off) so it’s almost touching the original (so it’s less obvious to thieves and more aesthetically pleasing). Been on for a month - it doesn’t move unless I want it to. Summary - both products I have bought have performed flawlessly. I’ve found customer support to be caring and helpful. Nothing negative to say!

We followed directions and pre-cleaned the surface area, measured and viewed angles from driver's seat and passanger 's side..before we stuck the car mount. The movable short arm makes it easy to view a phone either seat. The adhesive is solid and strong. I love the option to purchase extra magnetic pads for other family members phones so they too can stick a phone to car mount. I will never ever go back to those archaic brackets again. We took advantage of the “3 for the price of 2” deal and whacked one in each car, expecting both to hit the foot-well within days. 2 months on, these bad boys are exactly where we placed them… they’ve survived the notoriously hideous rural WA roads and corrugated tracks, sand dunes, city freeways - the lot! and haven’t missed a beat! To be fair, we’re yet to tackle an Australian summer (which sees every other phone mount I’ve ever purchased hit the deck when the temperature hits the roof), but so far, this product delivers exactly what it promises to. I’m impressed, the hubby’s impressed and we’d both happily recommend Carmount to anyone who is sick of inferior products making large claims.
